Amanda has been in the beauty industry since 2001. She attended Pivot Point International in Bloomingdale. In 2003 she opened Amanda’s Spa & Beauty Services as a single operator salon on Peace Rd in DeKalb. During this time she attended massage school at Northern Prairie in Sycamore.
As the years passed, with great support from her clientele, the business grew exponentially. In July 2007 Amanda set out for a larger location for the Spa. After a month of searching and planning, construction started on the 2400 sq ft location on 4th St in DeKalb.
Through all our changes we have remained loyal to our mission; to educate the client to a feeling of self empowered confidence and beauty by instilling a sense of wholeness with ones self.
Aveda was brought in with the move in 2007. This partnership has changed the dynamic of the salon/spa environment. We hold education classes for staff every Tuesday. We are also a more eco-friendly salon by reducing waste.
However, we could not have grown or evolved without our valued clients.
